Hey BC + Yukon Community! I came across a few BC specific lists that I wanted to share with the community. Some of these companies are in the food space, most of them are in the tech space, and all of them are absolutely killing it. [BCBusiness – Top 100 Companies](https://www.bcbusiness.ca/The-2022-Top-100-Anything-but-Normal) This annual list ranks B.C.'s biggest companies by revenue on their performance for the 2021 fiscal year [New Ventures BC announces their Top 25 startups](https://www.newventuresbc.com/2022/06/meet-our-2022-top-25/) The annual startup competition has narrowed the field to 25, which includes companies from Abbotsford, Sechelt, Courtenay, Victoria, and a small community town called Vancouver. [BC Tech Association announces the finalists for its Technology Impact Awards](https://techcouver.com/2022/06/16/bc-tech-finalists-2022-technology-impact-awards/) The tech industry association announced the 48 finalists across 12 Technology Impact Award categories who achieved exceptional success in the past year. The BC business and tech communities are on fire! Look forward to seeing more foodtech companies on this list in the coming years ---

Thanks for sharing this list Jamil, the amount of innovation happening in BC is incredible! Here are a few more who are awardees of [Innovate BC’s Fast Pilot Program](https://www.innovatebc.ca/blog/meet-the-round-3-bc-fast-awardees). Shoutout to [Lyne Systems](https://lynesystems.com/) for working to address food security with their labour tech innovation! ---

Thanks for the shoutout Lavina! We’re looking forward to releasing our PikAssist device soon, which will provide immediate relief to mushroom farms across North America that are dealing with the same labour issues that are familiar to others in the Agriculture/Food & Beverage space. As we get closer to release, there should be more information available that I’ll be sure to share. ---

Hi [@Jamil Karim](https://www.cfin-rcia.ca/people/jamil-karim), what a great array of companies. I selected my personal favourites, based on proximity to the food industry and potential benefits for our members. By no means a deep analysis, as it is only based on the info available on their websites, but I’m impressed with the variety technologies and solutions. ![](https://higherlogicdownload.s3.amazonaws.com/CFIN/MessageImages/93760c5c35df48278573eb7b4744d011.png) ---

Hey [@Nestor Gomez](https://www.cfin-rcia.ca/network/members/profile?UserKey=c5c7ffba-9ed5-4a1e-be61-addca250cbb5), great list! Pocketed is one of my favourite companies. They’re on a mission to breakdown financial barriers for entrepreneurs by providing free and seamless access to grants, tax credits, and business incentives. Some of their partners include University of Guelph, Startup Canada, Innovate BC, and Communitech. You can do a deeper dive on Pocketed and how they’re supporting thousands of companies across Canada from this Vancouver Tech Journal profile piece [https://www.vantechjournal.com/p/pocketed-secures-1m-for-its-founder](https://www.vantechjournal.com/p/pocketed-secures-1m-for-its-founder) ---

Pocketed sounds inspiring! I’m curious to know if any of our CFIN Members would be interested in an “Ask Me Anything” session with them. We could invite them to do a video meet up here on YODL. Please comment below folks. ---

[@Jamil Karim](https://www.cfin-rcia.ca/people/jamil-karim), agree, Pocketed could bring substantial benefits to our members and I am curious what’s [@Alex Barlow](https://www.cfin-rcia.ca/network/members/profile?UserKey=ac672a6d-3c23-49fa-8d52-5d1bd5b1d31a)’s opinion on this one. [@Dana McCauley](https://www.cfin-rcia.ca/network/members/profile?UserKey=b800c223-a09d-49c9-a3e4-a1b7781d9f6c), [@Jairo Melo](https://www.cfin-rcia.ca/people/jairo-melo) and I were just chatting bout a similar idea of an open AMA with a selected group of tech innovators across the country. ---

Pocketed is an interesting tool for sure. Navigating funding and writing good applications is a tough job for many! I also like the Innovation, Science, and Economic Development Directory however, which is quite comprehensive : [https://innovation.ised-isde.canada.ca/s/?language=en\_CA](https://innovation.ised-isde.canada.ca/s/?language=en_CA)
