# How do you find a snack co-packer as a small brand in Canada?

I’m starting a small snack brand in Canada and I’m having a really hard time finding a manufacturer. The product needs extrusion (puffed snacks), plus seasoning and packing into small retail bags.

I’m a first-time founder, so I’m looking for co-packers that work with small brands and have reasonable minimum order quantities for a first run. I’m open to options in Canada or the US.

Where did you find your co-packer? Are there directories, trade shows, groups, or consultants worth checking out? And what should I ask or watch out for when I first contact them?

Any tips or names would be really appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Kiranveer, In addition to the directory on this site you may like to refer to the PLMA - Private Label Manufacturing Directory - [PLMA’s 2026 Private Label Trade Show | PLMA](https://plma.com/events/plmas-2026-private-label-trade-show) They publish a listing every year of US and Canadian Snack co-packer profiles and have a trade show coming up Nov 16-17 in Chicago.
