# The RCIA collaborates with Les Grands Prix DUX!

I had the pleasure of announcing the creation of the new 'Innovation and Technology' award category at the Des Grands Prix DUX 2023 gala held at the Bonsecours Market in Montreal. The RCIA, in collaboration with Les Grands Prix DUX, are partnering to create this new award that will highlight innovative initiatives in Quebec's food processing industry!

The submitted projects must be truly transformative. They must contribute to advancing our industry.

Projects must:

-Enable the development of smart products and processes;

-Promote the sustainability of the food ecosystem (such as waste reduction, development of eco-friendly and smart packaging) and/or

-Create agile and secure supply chains. (This includes projects related to logistics, sanitation, or food safety).

I will provide you with more details about the competition in the coming months!

To mark the unveiling of the new 'Technology and Innovation' award category announced at the gala, the 2023 Technology and Innovation Favourite award was presented to Fumoir Grizzly of Quebec for its Aliotech food safety initiative.
