Hey Everyone, You probably saw this in your inbox this morning, but in case you missed it here's what you need to know: - [We announced our eight FoodTech Next projects](https://www.cfin-rcia.ca/media/news-releases/foodtechnext-jan) who will receive a combined $1.9M to pilot their foodtech innovations in market - The projects come from across the country, including BC, Ontario, Quebec, and Nova Scotia - All of these companies will be presenting live at our [upcoming FoodTech Next Project Showcase](https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/foodtech-next-project-showcase-2024-tickets-728411226587), taking place in two weeks in downtown Ottawa - Media coverage is trickling in, [including this fun intro from our friends at BCBusiness](https://www.bcbusiness.ca/3-BC-foodtech-startups-earn-investment-from-the-Canadian-Food-Innovation-Network) - _We at BCBusiness are still waiting with bated breath for the Canadian Food Innovation Network to fund a foodtech startup that sounds lame. So far, no luck. We've covered CFIN's funding announcements a few times and we've never been disappointed. The trend continues today, as the organization has announced close to $2 million in funding for eight Canadian firms, three of which are based in B.C._ If you're interested in learning more about these projects or want to connect with any of the project leads, you can [reach out to your Regional Innovation Director](https://www.cfin-rcia.ca/connect/meet-your-rid).
