At [New Harvest Canada](https://www.new-harvest.org/), we're looking for a new teammate! This role presents a unique chance to drive impactful research initiatives and enhance communication strategies within the dynamic field of cellular agriculture.

As the Program Coordinator, you will play a vital role in spearheading research efforts and facilitating effective communication channels to advance our mission. Responsibilities will range from coordinating research projects to analyzing data, conducting gap assessments, and crafting engaging narratives tailored for diverse audiences.

Working closely with stakeholders from various sectors, including industry, academia, government, and nonprofit organizations, you will contribute to the development of evidence-based resources and science communication tools to inform strategic decision-making and stakeholder engagement.

Reporting to the Canadian Director of Responsible Research and Innovation (that's me!) and working closely with my colleague Miranda Stahn, you will collaborate across interdisciplinary teams to produce impactful content, policy briefs, and visual materials that effectively communicate the transformative potential of cellular agriculture.

The successful applicants will:

- Be legally eligible to work in Canada and based in Alberta
- Preferably be fluent in both English and French
- Hold a Master's degree in a field related to science communications or cellular agriculture (e.g. biotechnology, food science, tissue engineering, etc.)
- Translate technical research into clear, engaging formats for non-expert audiences
- Develop narratives and talking points that convey the relevance and impact of projects
- Tailor messaging for diverse stakeholders, including government agencies, producer associations, funders, industry leaders, and the public
- Design infographics, data visualizations, and slide decks to support science communication and stakeholder engagement
- Foster a collaborative working environment, encouraging the integration of others' ideas
