Inflationary wars continue to impact Canadian households. In fact, 79% of Canadians have altered their shopping habits to deal with the rising cost of food.
Increased competition as suggested by the Competition Bureau will have no effect. Europe's inflationary CPG rate in August was 10.68%, part of the continent Aldi and Lidl are dominant grocery discounters. By comparison, Canada's June CPG inflationary rate was 7%.
