Happy Friday!
I wanted to share information on the Advance-ON GreenCentre Canada programming, which offers specialized support and funding to Cleantech SMEs in Southern Ontario.
You may think that as a food or foodtech firm, you are not in cleantech, but areas such as upcycling, food waste diversion, and other areas align well in the CleanTech space.
Three of the firms announced in the first two rounds are food related.
GreenCentre Canada’s Advance-ON Program provides unique, high-value services to start-ups and SMEs in the sustainable chemistry and advanced materials sectors, driving their early-stage innovations to market faster so their businesses can raise the investment they need to scale and grow. The successful applicants to this competitive program will receive a project with access to GreenCentre’s full suite of services at no cost.
Program finalists will be chosen based on application strength, project impact on the applicant's company, projected environmental impact and job growth potential. Selected finalists will be invited to present their technology and business case by video conference to a panel of experts.
Advance-ON is available to cleantech SMEs and start-ups, located in southern Ontario, actively developing sustainable chemistry and materials-related products or processes.
New start-ups incorporated on or after January 1, 2020 are also encouraged to apply.
The application process for the 3rd of six competitions is open from October 17th to October 31st, 2022.
