I saw this infographic on Visual Capitalist today and wanted to share with the group (see below).

Some of the notable and Canadian-centric data:

- My region of the PNW has added 90K new tech jobs over the last five years. BC has seen an influx of multinationals and US-based tech firms set up shop in the province

- Toronto saw the most absolute growth tech positions in 2021, adding 88,900 jobs

- Ottawa’s tech scene is steadily growing its presence, thanks in large part to a company called Shopify

Very interesting. @Joe Lake and I were chatting about why, with remote work, more tech pros aren’t migrating to more rural areas where the living is easy. Looks like techies like city life!
