Hi everyone,

This is just a friendly reminder that you still have time to register for CIFST ALT* - An Innovation Showcase on Wednesday, September 28 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. EST. If you haven't heard about this event, we are partnering with the Canadian Food Innovation Network to bring you this in-person, half-day event at the Delta Toronto Airport Hotel and Convention Centre, second floor Plaza Conference Centre, Toronto, Ontario.

  • As a CFIN member, you will enjoy the same rate as Canadian Institute of Food Science and Technology (CFIST) members when you use the coupon code GIOS4X4A. Register HERE, registration closes on Tuesday, September 27th.
  • All attendees will automatically be entered into a draw to win some awesome prizes including electronics, gift cards and a gift basket from the Maple Treat Corporation.
  • As well, get a complimentary professional headshot taken at our Head Shot Salon from 11 to 2 pm, sponsored by Essentient Association Management.

This event is a wonderful opportunity to hear about innovative and alternative new products from our Supplier Showcase Speakers. We have an awesome opening keynote featuring CFIN's own Joe Lake. In this keynote speech, Joe will reveal not only how CFIN has innovated internally to answer this need, but also what they've learned about keeping the innovation flames burning within both remote and in-person work environments.

CFIN's Dana McCauley will close the session as the moderator of a panel of experts exploring the opportunities, barriers and challenges that need to be understood by Canadian food, technology and ingredient companies who want to ready Canada to be more self-sufficient and able to satisfy consumer demand for locally produced, safe, high quality food products.

In between, you will have plenty of chances to network with colleagues, all while enjoying some delicious nibbles. It's also a great way for CFIN members to make new acquaintances with members of the CIFST (although some of you are already members).

If you have any questions about the event, or you would like to become a Supplier Showcase Speaker, feel free to shoot me an email: heidi@cifst.ca

I look forward to meeting you in person.

Heidi.

Can’t wait to see you on Wednesday Heidi. My panelists are primed and ready to deliver a really stimulating hour of discussion on how Canadian ingredient companies can help Canada keep +$2 billion dollars in our economy.
