You probably saw this in your inbox this morning, but in case you missed it here's what you need to know:
- We announced our eight FoodTech Next projects who will receive a combined $1.9M to pilot their foodtech innovations in market
- The projects come from across the country, including BC, Ontario, Quebec, and Nova Scotia
- All of these companies will be presenting live at our upcoming FoodTech Next Project Showcase, taking place in two weeks in downtown Ottawa
- Media coverage is trickling in, including this fun intro from our friends at BCBusiness
- We at BCBusiness are still waiting with bated breath for the Canadian Food Innovation Network to fund a foodtech startup that sounds lame. So far, no luck. We've covered CFIN's funding announcements a few times and we've never been disappointed. The trend continues today, as the organization has announced close to $2 million in funding for eight Canadian firms, three of which are based in B.C.
