Sharing a note from Food and Beverage Ontario for processors in the province:
FBO has have partnered with the Ontario Chamber of Commerce on called, Seeding Digital Twins. Below and attached is additional information.
The Seeding Digital Skills program, offered by the Ontario Chamber of Commerce and funded by Upskill Canada and the Government of Canada, provides free training to help food and beverage processors future-proof their operations through digital twin technology.
A digital twin acts as a real-time virtual model of a facility, enabling businesses to simulate processes, predict maintenance needs, improve quality control, and optimize production and logistics. Eligible Ontario businesses receive 12 weeks of online training, a one-year Unity industry license valued at $15,000 USD, and stipends of up to $2,000 per participant, helping processors enhance efficiency, cut waste, and stay competitive in a rapidly evolving marketplace.
