This year, I have been asked to represent the green agriculture industry at the upcoming Jobs Innovation Fair hosted by Queen's University. Given the diverse academic backgrounds of the attendees and the fact that Kingston is a temporary base during their academic pursuits, it is important to offer insights into and connections with the leading organizations shaping Canada's green agri-tech landscape.
Given the memberships' critical role in Canada's food supply chain and its leadership in adopting green technologies across the country, I am eager to highlight exciting career opportunities in green agri-tech within the CFIN community. I also hope to offer direct contact details to students who are pursuing careers in this innovative field.
The primary objectives for the event include:
- Promoting employment opportunities with an environmental focus.
- Elevating awareness about the wide range of career options available within the environmental sector.
- Accentuating job prospects available after graduation.
- Offering guidance on strategies for achieving success before graduation, including internships and cooperative education programs.
