Reusable Grocery Containers Showcase BC Food Tech

Hey YODL'ers!

Reusable container pilots have popped up across the country at places like schools, restaurants and coffee chains. Grocery retailers also want to test out reuse initiatives and reduce single use plastic waste generated in their stores. Metro, Sobeys and Walmart have all committed to participating in a pilot, slated for mid-2024.

Leading the technology side is Vancouver-based Reusables, founded by @Anastasia Kiku and @Jason Hawkins. This innovative firm will provide the containers and smart return bins to be located throughout the test regions. What a great example of cross country collaboration!
