Tomorrow! Toronto! IRL Workshop: How Tech Influences the Food Industry with Gig Workers United

A few weeks ago our organization, caterToronto, put out a call for participants to our Selling Without Selling Out workshop series for women and non-binary BIPOC food entrepreneurs (see attached poster for more info). We've had two great sessions so far, but know that we have room to host a few more folks during our sessions, so we want to invite some more industry peers to tomorrow's session.

The topic tomorrow is: How Tech Influences the Food Industry with Gig Workers United

We're not officially accepting new participants to the entire series, however we have space with empty seats! We've put a lot of work into understanding and coordinating the workshops since we know the topics are very relevant to many working in the F&B industry and food system in general. We also feel that having more in attendance will contribute to very necessary and relevant conversations…

Gig Workers United organizes with app-based delivery workers and has many experiences and lessons to share, including how to work better together. While their focus is delivery drivers and riders, many of us in the Industry are working varieties of "gigs" when we stop to think about it, e.g. pop-ups, stop-gap work, shift work without benefits, split shifts, etc… some more successfully than others. Is there a way to be more strategic at individual and industry levels?

Please join us for this workshop!
