Hi YODL community,
๐ There's an important conversation happening about the future of Western Canada's food industry, and I wanted to bring it to your attention.
With trade uncertainty highlighting the importance of resilient domestic supply chains, BC Food & Beverage is exploring a proposed $700-million food terminal in B.C. The concept could help connect producers, processors, distributors and buyers, with the potential to improve freight efficiency, reduce waste and strengthen domestic food distribution across Western Canada.
But what would this look like in practice, and what does industry actually need?
@James Donaldson and the team at BC Food & Beverage are looking for input from the industry to help inform this work.
If you're involved in food processing, manufacturing, distribution or retail in B.C., I encourage you to take a few minutes to share your perspective:
This is an opportunity to help shape a conversation that could have a real impact on how food moves through our region and the opportunities available to western food businesses. Please feel free to share with others in the industry who should have a voice, too! For more context, check out this G&M article.
