Elisa;

Thanks for the info and interest, well appreciated.

I have a few customer projects under consideration presently.

I would like to provide them with your contact info so they could call and have a conversation with you to see what funding/rebate government programs exist and if they could benefit from them.

Let me know if this would be OK.

Regards,

Don.

Absolutely. It will be my pleasure to assist you and them with government funding opportunities to support their projects.

Looking forward to collaborating with you.

Thank you for sharing, Elisa. Is there similar opportunities in AB? We are dairy processor and looking for support for growth in this field.

Here is my Calendly to make it easier for you to book a meeting.

Hi Tarif,

I hope you're doing well. There is a program in Alberta called Emerging Opportunities Program, which could be a great fit for your organization.

Eligibility:
The program is designed to support Alberta-based businesses that are looking to invest in projects that drive economic growth and diversification within the province.

Qualified Projects:
Eligible projects include those focused on:

  • Value-added agriculture
  • New market expansion
  • Technology and innovation adoption
  • Infrastructure improvements that support industry growth

Funding Amount:
The program offers limited funding support, requiring a minimum total project investment of $2 million for projects conducted by agriculture and bio-industrial processors. The program provides a maximum grant of $1,000,000 per fiscal year, with a total project maximum of $2,000,000.

Costs are shared at 25% for approved capital expenses and 50% for approved non-capital expenses.

Given the potential benefits, it would be valuable to connect this week to discuss how your projects might qualify and the steps needed to apply.

Looking forward to your thoughts and availability.

Best regards,

Hello Jamil and Marcello,

Thank you for reaching out. There are several programs currently available that would be suitable to Plan Automation, such as AMIC, OMMITC and Food Safety and Growth Initiative.

@Marcello LaGrotta please let me know if you would be interested meeting this week or next week.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hello Don,

Thank you for reaching out. The program I mentioned is particularly well-suited for small to medium-sized processors within the CFIN group. However, we also work with larger funding opportunities, such as FedDev, which offers up to $10 million.

If you'd like to explore more funding options tailored to your needs, please feel free to email me. I'd be happy to discuss how we can support your business goals.

This is an exciting funding opportunities for Ontario companies! Thanks for sharing!

Missed this last week! Thanks for sharing @Elisa Delazari

@Marcello LaGrotta -- might be an opportunity for you and the Plan Automation team.

Elisa;

That's interesting but, that seems quite low for any type of funding.

I provide continuous container cleaners which are used for glass, plastic and cans prior to filling food products and the cost of these exceed the cost of the funding per project!!

Sound like the government needs to up the funding to make it a little more of an incentive to processors and manufacturers to start automating and reducing their labor costs.

Just me 2 cents!!

Regards,

Don.

Elisa;

Thanks for the reply. I provide packaging ( some processing) equipment solutions from a few well known for their quality and reliability of their systems.

I have provided a few of the customers looking for funding of their projects with information for funding groups in Quebec and Ontario so they can work with them to see if they can acquire the required/requested funding to advance their projects.

Some have been surprised with the different funding options available to them from the government. Its seems to be different in each province.

It does help move some of the automation of projects forward for some customers.

Regards,

Don.

Hi Don,

You're absolutely right-provincial government funding does vary from province to province. What many companies might not realize is that they can actually stack provincial programs with federal ones to cover up to 50% of their project costs. It's a great way to maximize the available funding.

I'm happy to assist you and your clients in leveraging these opportunities. Both Ontario and Quebec offer some excellent programs that can really make a difference in advancing automation and other projects.

Feel free to reach out to me directly at edelazari@ayming.ca if you'd like to discuss this further or need any assistance.
