I’m starting a small snack brand in Canada and I’m having a really hard time finding a manufacturer. The product needs extrusion (puffed snacks), plus seasoning and packing into small retail bags.
I’m a first-time founder, so I’m looking for co-packers that work with small brands and have reasonable minimum order quantities for a first run. I’m open to options in Canada or the US.
Where did you find your co-packer? Are there directories, trade shows, groups, or consultants worth checking out? And what should I ask or watch out for when I first contact them?
