Hello YODLers!

Does anyone know of a co-packer that could package very small weight sea salt sachets?

Location in BC preferable but anywhere in Canada would be workable.

Hope you are well.

Have you checked with the salt/sugar processors? A few do sachet and sticks.

I have a customer that does this but, he is in Quebec.

Check them out to see if this might fit the requirements.

Depending on your volumes, why don't you consider a small two lane system for your facility? If you decide to go this route, let me know and one of my manufacturers can provide you with a quality system for your needs.

I might have a customer looking for a sachet/stick system for additional production. We proposed a new system but, he was looking to save cost for other parts of the plant. If you could say the name and model of the system you have, I can see if its fits his applications.

Bullseye does not have equipment to fill sachets or stick packs, but we are ready to support client with their secondary co-packing needs! :)

I suggested reaching out to Ingreda Food Ops for the filling portion.

Congrats on your future packaging equipment installation. I was wondering since you are going to do natural foods and other products, it your recently purchased sachet/stick system washdown to make sure there is no product residue that is left on the system prior to doing another food/liquid/granular product?

Hi Lavina,

We are no longer in production but are back to our original consulting portion of the business.

 

We do have equipment that fills dry ingredients into pouches, either pre-made or continuous tubes which can come on a roll, pre-printed if desired – we used the for random print therefore not requiring an electronic eye but they are available for this format if preferred from the manufacturer.

 

It is very versatile for filling quantity and ingredient or blend type. We used it for packs of 8-11 g, 50 g  and 100g – 250g. We also used it for discrete items, as long as they were not round as they roll!. The items that we had were moved via the vibrating pan to the weighing and dumping portion.  

 

The sea salt would fill easily using this portion if the fill level if above 5  +/- a couple of grams.

 

We are actually investigating if one of the Food Hubs could use it due to its versatility.
