Seeking Co-Manufacturing Partner | Running Gels & Maple Syrup

Hi all,

We're looking for a co-manufacturer to support the formulation and packaging of a new maple-based endurance running gel under our brand Goldrop.

Specifically, we need a partner who can support:

  • Formulation development of a maple syrup-based endurance gel (carbohydrate-forward, clean-label, with flavour line extensions). -> We are working with someone currently so this really is about futrue capabilities.
  • Single-serve packet filling in a maple syrup-style sachet/pouch format (similar footprint to traditional sports gels, roughly 30 to 45g fill weight)
  • Shelf-stable production suitable for retail and DTC distribution in Canada

Our base ingredient is Canadian maple syrup, and we're committed to a clean-label positioning with minimal additives, recognizable ingredients, and ideally a facility experienced with natural and functional food production. We're open to facilities that handle allergens with proper controls in place.

We're a growing Canadian brand with retail groundwork already in place (GS1/SCC barcodes, CFIA compliance, early distributor conversations underway). Ideally looking for a partner in Ontario, BC, Alberta, Manitoba but open to facilities elsewhere in Canada if the fit is right.

Hello Brock,

Hope you are well.

Looked at your website, noticed that your filling in the standard maple syrup 250 ml glass containers. Assume you or your co-packer are filling hot?

I have provided a few glass/pet and canned systems for maple syrup so I know what it takes to work with this proiduct.

As for the sachet'/stick application, we have provided a few sachet systems to others in this product range ( honey, maple syrup, flavored syrups, etc,, )

Make sure you are sourcing out a manufacturer that will provide a hot fill and washdown system for your application. It will more more costly to purchase but will remove all the issues for the system in the future !!

Hi Brock, interesting items. Would love to learn more. Palm Bites is a Mississauga, Ontario based vertically integrated manufacturer. We copack for several customers as well as selling products under our own brand. Currently we sell several syrups and date based products in the similar product line.
