📣 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐬!

Hello everyone,

Applications are open to attend the Canadian Alternative Protein Symposium, a growing student-led event focused on the future of alternative proteins and cellular agriculture.

The symposium will take place March 28–29 at the University of Toronto's St. George campus, bringing together students working across plant-based, fermentation, cultivated meat, and adjacent fields such as food systems policy.

🌱 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝐟𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐨𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐀𝐫𝐞𝐚.
Organizers are particularly looking for students who:
• Are conducting research in alternative proteins and could present a poster
• Are involved in community-building in the alt-protein ecosystem
• Can clearly share how attending would support their professional goals

There will also be a Student Leaders Day (March 29), a collaborative workshop supported by New Harvest and The Good Food Institute focused on strengthening connections between research and community initiatives.

💡 Funding is limited, and applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, so the sooner you apply, the better!
