There seems to be some confusion out there about monk fruit.
At NutraEx we supply Monk Fruit Juice Concentrate, which is allowed by Health Canada as a food ingredient. It is the whole fruit, with only water evaporated to make a concentrate, much like other fruit concentrates. This ingredient is sweeter than sugar. 10 times as sweet. That means usage would be 10%. Where your sugary NFT showed 12g sugar, the Monk Fruit NFT will show 1g sugar.
NutraEx also supplied Monk Fruit Extract, which is limited by Health Canada to Table Top usage. Canadian manufacturers can use Monk Fruit Extracts only if their products will not be sold in Canada. Similar restrictions apply to other countries as well.
NutraEx supplies SugarLike Encapsulated Monk Fruit with etyrthitol which is intended for table top use. We were pioneers in making great tasting table top sweeteners 1:1 like sugar. Before our innovations, you may have found concentrated sweeteners with their own small scoops or usage instructions to only use a drop or a fraction of a spoon for the right usage.
Monk Fruit Extract is entirely different. This ingredient is Mogroside V, a natural component of Monk Fruit is filtered out and is sold as fine powder.
