My name is Tiana Ko, founder of the Saskatchewan-based startup, "Bits of Joy."
We have developed a unique, market-validated line of seven functional dog treats. Our product addresses the dairy surplus issue by upcycling raw materials into a premium, export-oriented, "human-grade" product. The prototype, based on a unique hydrolyzed cottage cheese formula, has been successfully developed at the Saskatchewan Food Centre, and we have confirmed international interest from distributors.
The Challenge: We are ready for our first commercial production run but have hit a critical roadblock: a lack of manufacturing partners in Canada with the specific, cross-industry capabilities we require.
We are looking for a partner who has:

A CFIA license to process fresh, human-grade dairy products.

The following equipment: A mixer for a viscous paste, a former (for 5g & 10g pieces), low-temperature dehydration, and vacuum-packing capabilities.
This combination of dairy licensing and specialized snack-production equipment is rare, and it's the primary obstacle preventing us from bringing this innovative Canadian product to market.
The Ask: We are looking for a co-packer or a pilot plant facility that can help us produce our first commercial batch. If you are, or if you know of, a facility with these capabilities, we would be incredibly grateful for an introduction.
